Passport, Notarial and Consular Fees
The fees (in Swedish Krona) are reviewed monthly and may be adjusted due to variations in exchange rate to the Australian dollar. Make sure to pay the current fee for the month you are submitting your documents (i.e. the month the Embassy receives your document.)

Fees for registered mail
If original documents have been provided to the Embassy, we strongly recommend you request to have the documents returned to you with registered mail. For registered mail, please add the following to amount to the consular fee:
- Within Sweden – SEK 100
- Outside Sweden – SEK 150
As per the postage fees above you can choose to have your passport sent to you via Registered Post or if you wish to collect your passport from the Embassy in Stockholm, no additional charges will be added. Note that: due to current Covid-19 situation, we don't recommend collecting the passport from the Embassy.
How do I pay for a service?
Fees for notarial or passport services lodged at the Australian Embassy in Stockholm can be paid via eftpos (debit card or credit card) or via SWISH.
- Your credit/debit card will be processed for the full amount including relevant postage in Swedish Kronor (SEK), by the Embassy in Stockholm.
- The Embassy does not accept cash.
- Applicants living in Finland, Estonia and Latvia can pay via a link sent by the Embassy. Please make sure a relevant email address is specified on application forms/cover letters.
- Please note: the notarial service will not be processed until the Embassy has received the correct documentation and payment.
