Passport, Notarial and Consular Fees
The fees effective from 1 January 2025 are outlined below. Please note that all payments received by the Australian Embassy in Stockholm are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Passport and Other Travel Document Fees
Please note that passport applications processed by the Embassy require the payment of an overseas surcharge, included in the relevant amounts listed below.

Fees for registered mail
If original documents have been provided to the Embassy, we strongly recommend you request to have the documents returned to you via registered mail. For registered mail, please add the following to amount to the Passport/Notarial/Consular fee:

Registered post in Sweden 1x passport/notarial: AUD 15

Registered post in Sweden 2x or more passports/notarials: AUD 18

Registered post in Finland, Latvia, Estonia 1x passport/notarial: AUD 21

Registered post in Finland, Latvia, Estonia 2x or more passports/notarials: AUD 25
As per the postage fees above, you can choose to have your passport sent to you via Registered Post. If you wish to collect your passport in person from the Embassy in Stockholm, no additional charges will be added.
How do I pay for a service?
Fees for notarial or passport services lodged at the Australian Embassy in Stockholm can be paid via a bank card (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX). Please note your card must be open for online payments. The Embassy does not accept payments via mobile payment solutions (such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Swish).
- Your bank card will be processed for the full amount including relevant postage in AUD by the Embassy in Stockholm.
- The Embassy does not accept cash.
- Applicants living in Finland, Latvia and Estonia will be sent a credit card authorisation form via email once we receive your application.
- Please note: the notarial service will not be processed until the Embassy has received the correct documentation and payment.
