HOW MUCH DOES THE PASSPORT COST?
The passport application fees (in Swedish Kronor) are adjusted monthly due to variations in exchange rate to the Australian dollar. Make sure to pay the current fee for the month you are lodging your application (i.e. the month the Embassy receives your complete application).
Please note that on 1 January 2015, Australian passport and other travel document fees increased. The increase in passport fees was in line with the movement in the "All Groups Consumer Price Index".
Passport application fees for May 2015:
Adult Ordinary (32 pages) - SEK 1635
Adult Frequent Traveller (64 pages) - SEK 2460
Minor Ordinary (32 pages) - SEK 815
Senior Ordinary (32 pages) - SEK 815
Priority Processing Fee (Emergency passport) - SEK 725
1 Lost/Stolen Passport in Last 5 Years - SEK 725
2 Lost/Stolen Passports in Last 5 Years - SEK 1635
3 Lost/Stolen Passports in Last 5 Years - SEK 3270
Fees for registered mail
If you are unable to collect your new passport from the Embassy in Stockholm, we will send the passport to your home address with registered mail. For registered mail, please add the following amount to the application fee:
Within Sweden - SEK 70
To Finland, Estonia or Latvia - SEK 100
Note: Your passport application will not be processed until we have received a complete application with supporting documents and the correct passport application fee.
