HOW MUCH DOES THE PASSPORT COST?
The passport application fees (in Swedish Kronor) are adjusted monthly due to variations in exchange rate to the Australian dollar. Make sure to pay the current fee for the month you are lodging your application (i.e. the month the Embassy receives your complete application).
Please note that on 1 January 2015, Australian passport and other travel document fees increased. The increase in passport fees was in line with the movement in the "All Groups Consumer Price Index".
Passport application fees for July 2015:
Adult Ordinary (32 pages) - SEK 2216
Adult Frequent Traveller (64 pages) - SEK 3013
Minor Ordinary (32 pages) - SEK 1108
Senior Ordinary (32 pages) - SEK 1424
Priority Processing Fee (Emergency passport) - SEK 703
1 Lost/Stolen Passport in Last 5 Years - SEK 703
2 Lost/Stolen Passports in Last 5 Years - SEK 1583
3 Lost/Stolen Passports in Last 5 Years - SEK 3165
An ‘Overseas Application Fee’ is applied to passport applications lodged overseas which is reflected in the prices above.
The additional fee for adult (including senior) applications is $100 and for child applications is $50. The fee does not apply to emergency passport applications as the validity of these passports is limited.
Fees for registered mail
If you are unable to collect your new passport from the Embassy in Stockholm, we will send the passport to your home address with registered mail. For registered mail, please add the following amount to the application fee:
Within Sweden - SEK 80

Note: We can only accept your application when complete with all supporting documents and the correct passport application fee has been made .
